You\u2019re in the right place. Just <a href=\".\/add\/\">ask us to host it for you<\/a>. You\u2019ll be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep track of how many people have downloaded it.<\/li>\n<li>Let people leave comments about your plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Get your plugin rated against all the other cool WordPress plugins.<\/li>\n<li>Give your plugin lots of exposure in this centralized repository.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>There are some restrictions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Your plugin must be compatible with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnu.org\/licenses\/license-list.html#GPLCompatibleLicenses\">GNU General Public License v2<\/a>, or any later version. We strongly recommend using the same license as WordPress \u2014 \u201cGPLv2 or later.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The plugin must not do anything illegal or be morally offensive (that\u2019s subjective, we know).<\/li>\n<li>You have to actually use the <a href=\"http:\/\/subversion.tigris.org\/\">Subversion<\/a> repository we give you in order for your plugin to show up on this site. The WordPress Plugins Directory is a hosting site, not a listing site.<\/li>\n<li>The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a &#8220;powered by&#8221; link) without explicitly asking the user&#8217;s permission.<\/li>\n<li>Your plugin must abide by our list of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/developer.wordpress.org\/plugins\/wordpress-org\/detailed-plugin-guidelines\/\">detailed guidelines<\/a>, which include not being a spammer and not abusing the systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Submission is Simple<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/register.php\">Sign up<\/a>&nbsp;for an account on WordPress.org.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\".\/add\/\">Submit your plugin for review<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>After your plugin is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/developer.wordpress.org\/plugins\/wordpress-org\/plugin-developer-faq\/#questions-about-submissions-and-approval\">manually reviewed<\/a>, you will either be approved or emailed and asked to provide more information and\/or make corrections.<\/li>\n<li>Once approved, you\u2019ll be given&nbsp;access to a <a id=\"subversion\" href=\"svn\/\">Subversion Repository<\/a> where you\u2019ll store your plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Shortly after&nbsp;you upload&nbsp;your plugin (and a <a href=\"#readme\">readme file<\/a>!) to&nbsp;that repository, it will be automatically displayed&nbsp;in the <a href=\"..\/\">plugins&nbsp;browser<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Check out the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/developer.wordpress.org\/plugins\/wordpress-org\/plugin-developer-faq\/\">FAQ<\/a> <\/strong>for more information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"readme\">Readme files<\/h3>\n<p>To make your entry in the plugin browser most useful, each plugin should have a readme file named <code>readme.txt<\/code> that adheres to the <a href=\"readme.txt\">WordPress plugin readme file standard<\/a>. You can put your readme file through the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins-wp\/developers\/readme-validator\/\">readme validator<\/a> to check it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You\u2019ve got a cool new plugin and are hoping to give it some exposure.
